Welcome to ECS Gas Training LTD
Are you looking for a
GAS TRAINING COURSE in the Barnsley, Bradford, Darlington or Grimsby area?
Maybe you are looking for
ACS REASSESSMENTS to keep your current qualifications up to date, or are you looking for a career change to move into the Gas Industry?
Either way, look no further than the
GAS TRAINING EXPERTS at ECS Gas Training Limited.
ECS Gas Training Limited was formed in 2008 by Graham Hawkes, an Ex British Gas Engineer, who has 42 years’ experience in the Gas Industry as an Engineer, with the past 20 years being a Trainer / Assessor.
The huge success of ECS is mainly due to the fact that we provide exactly what the candidate requires, at a very reasonable cost. We are able to do this because unlike other larger Centres, we work with a maximum of six candidates at any one time, and therefore we provide the candidate with a very personal training programme, delivered quickly, professionally and in a stress-free environment.
If you require a place at ECS, it is advisable to book as early as possible, as we are taking bookings one year in advance. Graham Hawkes (Managing Director & Founder)
"I formed ECS after working in a large training organisation for over twelve years. I personally designed the original fourteen weeks Gas Training Course which was accepted by CORGI, and successfully delivered by my former company for many years. This training course enabled over 1000 people to enter the Gas Industry, and find employment. At ECS we work with fewer candidates at any one time, but have still been able to train over 400 people on our very successful GAS NEW ENTRANT COURSE in the 9 years that we have been trading”
Real Training Courses by Experienced Professionals
"In 2008 I decided to design a course which ensured that every candidate gained the necessary on-the-job experience to enable them to retain a position within the industry. It was then that I designed the NE4 Course.
To deliver this course successfully, we worked with a maximum of six candidates at any one time, providing a standard of training that could not be matched by any other Training Organisation. The course was very flexible and was suitable for complete new entrants, and for people who were currently working in the Gas Industry but without the necessary qualifications. A candidate could usually complete the course whilst continuing their current employment or day to day duties.
New Industry Regulation for Gas New Entrant Courses
On 1st October 2017, the Gas Industry improved its policy, to ensure that the people who now wish to embark on a Gas New Entrant Course, are correctly regulated, and monitored throughout the duration of their course. All Gas New Entrant Courses now have to be approved by a Certification Body, and the Course that we have chosen is
THE PATHWAY TO GAS by Blue Flame Certification (PG1). This Course is still designed so that the candidate spends less time in the centre than on many other similar courses, with a great deal of the training being carried out by means of a structured on-the-job training programme with a Gas Safe Registered Engineer. There is also an abridged version of this course available for people who currently work in the Gas Industry, under supervision, without Gas Qualifications, who can prove experience (PG2)
ECS have also designed a course for people who already have associated qualifications within the industry such as NVQ Level 2 Plumbing or Pipe Fitting. The duration of this course PLUMBER TO GAS COURSE depends on the knowledge of the candidate, but can be completed in as little as five days."
